Step 6. Once toddler is in, you may want to check yourself in the mirror if you are still new to the Patapum toddler carrier. The toddler’s buttocks should be sitting comfortably into the Patapum toddler carrier's body panel and the body panel should be hugging the baby’s buttocks and thighs snugly, so that it looks like baby is in a sitting position. There should not be any folded material under your toddler’s buttocks.
*Tips: Adjust shoulder straps so that it is snug without being tight by pulling the straps outward and away from you to tighten. Do not make the shoulder straps too tight, as it will not be comfortable and toddler’s weight will be on your shoulders instead of on the hip belt. Adjust also the compression side straps so that your toddler is snug against your body. This is important as it can affect the weight distribution on your body.
