The sleeping hood that comes with the Patapum Baby & Toddler Carriers are very useful when baby falls asleep in the carrier. By fastening it, the sleeping hood prevents the baby’s head from bobbing around without you having to hold your baby’s head so that you can truly be hands-free.
Follow the instructions below to learn how to use the sleeping hood on your Patapum baby & todder carriers:-

Start Here
Step 1. If your sleeping hood is buttoned onto the carrier, unbutton one side at a time especially if baby is already sleeping in the carrier. Undo the elastic band used to keep the rolled sleeping hood in place.

Step 2. The sleeping hood when undone and buttoned to the Patapum Baby or Toddler carrier should look like this. |
Step 3. Hold up both sides of the strings attached to the Patapum Carrier sleeping hood.

Step 4. Bring the string with the hook towards your back (if baby is in front). Press the hook with the moveable opening down onto the D-shaped bar attached to the Patapum carrier's shoulder strap as shown. The hood is fastened when you hear a click. Repeat for the other side. |

Step 5. Adjust for snugness by pressing and pulling on the plastic piece found on the string as shown.

Step 6. Note that you will need to have someone help you with the sleeping hood if baby falls asleep while in Patapum Carrier back carry position. You may alternatively opt to shift baby to front carry position and put on the sleeping hood if you are out on your own.
