Using the Ellaroo Mei Tai Baby Carrier in the front carry position is particularly useful when the baby is smaller. It also easier to get babies to be comfortable in the baby carrier because they are held very snugly to the baby wearer and can see the familiar face carrying them at all times, this helps them to feel secured. If you and your baby is using the Ellaroo Mei Tai Baby Carrier for the first few times, the front carry position is the prefer carrying position you want to start off with.

Follow these instructions to master the front carry position using the Ellaroo Mei Tai Baby Carrier:

Start Here Step 1. Tie the Ellaroo Mei Tai waist straps very snugly around your waist, with the Ellaroo Mei Tai body hanging down in front of you. Secure with a double knot.
	Step 2. Hold baby in front of you with one hand and bring the Ellraoo Mei Tai body up behind baby to create a seat. Very young babies should have their feet “froggy-style”, entirely in the baby carrier. Older babies can sit straddling your body.
Step 3. Holding baby’s weight with one arm, bring the Ellaroo Mei Tai shoulder straps up over each of your shoulders toward the back.
	Step 4. Holding baby’s weight with one hand, reach around your back. Grab both shoulder straps. Reach around with the other hand. Take one shoulder strap in each hand. Cross the straps behind your back. Pull them taught to snug baby securely into the seat of your Ellaroo Mei Tai Baby Carrier.
Step 5. Bring the Ellaroo Mei Tai straps back around to the front of your body, and cross them under baby’s bum. (You can also tie the straps behind baby’s back at this point, if you like.). Always use a double knot to ensure safety. *Tips: No two people wear the Mei Tai exactly the same way. Experiment with the straps tied in different positions until you find what is right for you and baby.
	Step 6. Bring the Ellaroo Mei Tai straps under baby’s legs and tie them in a double knot behind your back.
Step 7. The straps should be tied across the side openings of the Ellaroo Mei Tai baby carrier to prevent any undesired tangling. This is to ensure safety.
	Step 8. Check that the baby is sitting above your waist, close to your body. The baby weight should be supported more on your hips than on you shoulders.
